So its been a minute...
Don’t be mad at me. I can explain.
You see, I’ve just been holding out because I thought you wouldn’t be satisfied without any crazy dope pictures from a show or some hilarious video from the road or anything like that.
I’m going to be honest.
I don’t have any of that for you. But I can give you a rundown of what’s happened since I last posted.
Day 2 in...
NYC (Part One)
megatronics:
New York, New York!
I can’t say enough about how excited I am to be here in NYC. I’ve wanted to come here for years and its everything I could’ve imagined and more. It/s the most ballin’ city ever. Period. Everything is like Super Sized. It’s incredible. We pulled in here last night after we stopped in Philly to drop off Tyler Yee at the airport and smash on some world famous...
DC!
After a day off of grindin in North Carolina, we arrived in our nation’s capital, Washington DC. We picked up DJ Cobo and headed to the venue, Bohemian Cavern. Its this crazy jazz club that literally looks like the inside of a cave, its really legit. Once we got there, we found out that QUESTLOVE would be dj-ing after our set! How ill is that? The show was great, lots of love from the fans.

The Beginning
megatronics:
Sorry for the lack of updates everybody, my laptop freaked out on me the night before the tour started so I haven’t had a chance to get online to post.
The tour has been going great so far!
We got it all started in New Orleans at Peaches Records and Les Bon Temps Rouler. 2 dope shows, lots of fun.
Then the next day we packed all our shit into the trailer and headed to...
Stephen Colbert knows what’s up.
This is the last Prince related content for a while. I promise.
The Epic Music Video
With the recent passing of Michael Jackson, my attention has been brought to the number of truly epic music videos he made. From Thriller to Smooth Criminal to You Rock My World, Mike made his videos full fledged short films.
But Mike wasn’t the only one.
Prince followed in the Beatles footsteps and made full length movies such as Purple Rain, Under The Cherry Moon and Graffitti Bridge...
I’m serious about this Prince thing.

I need to see this movie.
Musical Lineage
I’m constantly in search of a way to define myself as a musician. My latest obsession is trying to figure out where I’m coming from, so far as my influences are concerned.
As a result of that, I’ve been looking at some of my favorite artists and who they were influenced by. It’s brought a few musical family trees to my attention that I think are pretty cool. Check this...
Album of the Day: Parade - Prince
I usually do a song of the day, but not today, kiddos.
Been rockin this Parade for a few hours now (its a 40 minute album lol), so I decided to make it my first ever album of the day.
Whoa.
